Stock Questions

We will arrange the shipment as soon as we confirm full payment from the customer.

The delivery time is approximately 2 to 6 weeks depending on the destination port, vessel availability, season, and country regulations.

Once the vessel leaves from the port in Japan, the shipping company will issue the shipping documents (B/L). We will send you all the necessary documents by courier service with tracking number.

When the car is about to arrive at your location, the shipping company will contact you directly by phone about the arrival date. Please bring all necessary documents from us to customs before you collect the car.

The following documents are required:

  • Bill of Lading (B/L)
  • Export Certificate
  • Invoice
  • Marine Insurance (upon request)
  • Inspection Certificate (if required by destination country)

All images and videos for the vehicle you wish to purchase are available upon request. Not all images are uploaded on our website to keep it lightweight and fast. Please send us an inquiry for the vehicle you wish to see more images of, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

You can use our CIF calculator to calculate the approximate CIF price to your destination port and country. The CIF Price includes:

  • Cost of the vehicle
  • All charges in Japan (inspection fees, transportation, etc.)
  • Custom clearance and documentation
  • Marine insurance
  • Freight charges to your destination
Note: Exchange rates tend to change daily, so we try our best to keep our calculator updated to reflect prices as close to actual as possible.
Fixed Price Stock Questions

Fixed Price Stock vehicles are cars available at set prices that are non-negotiable. These vehicles are already sourced and priced competitively based on current market conditions.

For fixed price stock, necessary images are displayed along with the inspection sheet. Our database contains comprehensive vehicle information. You can contact us for additional photos or specific details about any vehicle.

Don't worry! Cardojo Imports provides you access to our regular stock and auctions as well to find your required vehicles. If you still can't find your desired vehicle, please provide us the details in the inquiry form. We will source the required vehicle from the Japanese market.

Send us your inquiry for the vehicle you want to buy from Fixed Price stock. Our staff will share a proforma invoice with the total price and vehicle specifications. You can then make the deposit payment to our account once you agree with the terms.

Fixed price stock is updated daily. It's possible that the vehicle you checked yesterday was sold and removed from the stock. You can check other available vehicles or make an inquiry for a similar vehicle - we will try to source it for you.

Auction Questions

There are two: $200 to open the live auction, and $1,000 before we can bid for you, and the $200 is credited against the $1,000, so bidding costs $1,000 in total, not $1,200.

Both are refundable until we begin procuring a car for you. After that they are not: from that point the money is committed at the auction house on your behalf.

If a bid does not win, nothing has been procured, so your deposit is still yours. Take it back, or leave it on your account for the next lot.

We provide free registration and access to Japanese car auctions. A deposit is required only when you wish to bid on a vehicle. The deposit amount depends on the total estimated price of the car(s) you wish to bid for.

You can contact us for making the deposit for auction bidding. We will issue a specific invoice for the deposit amount to be paid.

After a successful bid, please make the full/agreed payment within 48 hours as per the invoice we will share with you. If payment is not made within 48 hours, the vehicle may be resold to another customer.

Bid price is the highest amount a bidder/buyer is willing to pay at the auction for a particular vehicle. This is your maximum budget for that specific car.

In the unlikely event that the vehicle you are looking for is not in the auction, please let us know your vehicle requirements and we will search for the vehicle in the Japanese market, other suppliers, and auction halls.

Auction fees include the auction house fee (typically 8-10% of winning bid), documentation fees, inspection fees, and our service charges. All fees are transparently communicated before bidding begins.

Yes, you can set your maximum bid limit and we'll bid on your behalf up to that amount. This ensures you don't exceed your budget while maximizing your chances of winning the vehicle at the best possible price.

We notify all bidders immediately after the auction closes via email and phone call. Successful bidders receive a confirmation with the final winning price and payment instructions within 2 hours of the auction end.

Yes, until we start procuring a car for you. A bid that does not win procures nothing, so the deposit stays refundable; take it back or leave it on your account for the next auction. Once procurement begins it is non-refundable, because by then the money is committed on your behalf.

You can bid on most vehicles in Japanese auctions. However, some restrictions may apply based on Kenyan import regulations (age restrictions, emissions standards) or specific auction house rules. We'll advise you of any limitations before bidding.

Physical inspection before auction is not possible as vehicles are located in Japan. However, we provide detailed auction sheets with professional condition ratings, multiple photos, and can arrange additional inspections through our partners if needed.
